So Fresh jewellery award
So Fresh award presentation 2007Contemporary jewellery design addresses the very aspect of “decorating oneself”, it refers to the human body, the clothing, and it incorporates social circumstances as well as political or economic conditions. But all jewellery designers who call into question our conventional idea of what jewellery is, continually expanding its boundaries, have one thing in common: they express in their work a very personal take on the world around them.

With award money of 10.000,00 EUR, so fresh. the jewellery award by Pierre Lang responds to these developments by recognizing extraordinary contemporary jewellery design that embodies a new approach and a fresh way of seeing all that jewellery can be. The award is geared toward fostering young talent and helping launch the careers of promising jewellery designers.
Eligible to participate are all jewellery, fashion and product designers living in Europe who are intensively engaged in jewellery design and can demonstrate this commitment with their entry by 22 February 2009 (entry deadline).

An international jury of jewellery and fashion experts will review all entries to select the winner of so fresh. the jewellery award by Pierre Lang 09.

Out of the 10 best entries, two works from promising talents will in addition be singled out. The award winner and the two talents will be invited to Vienna to publicly present the selected works at the 9 festival for fashion and photography, with a publication produced to showcase the work.
